Shell commissions 100 fast-charging stations in Germany
The decision comes after a successful collaboration with ADLER Smart Solutions for 40 charging stations.
ADLER Smart Solutions GmbH is designing, developing and building 100 fast-charging stations for Shell Deutschland.
After installing 40 fast charging systems with 175kW each for electric vehicles in Hamburg, Berlin and Schleswig-Holstein, Shell Deutschland is now commissioning an extra 100 fast-charging solutions at 50 locations across Germany.
The collaboration includes finding suitable locations, the entire technical design and the connection to the medium-voltage grid.
"We deliberately chose an agile company from the SME sector, because we need a combination of the highest possible flexibility and professionalism for successful implementation. The success in installing the first 20 locations with 40 charging solutions has confirmed our assessment,” said Tobias Bahnsen, Energy Transition Manager at Shell for the DACH region.
Planning work for the further 50 sites will begin as early as summer 2021, with the first charging points scheduled to go online in early 2022.
