Shell Recharge expands in the Netherlands with new fast charging station
Operated by N. van Staveren B.V. the new facility was opened in the city of Almere and equipped with three chargers powered by 100% green electricity.
A brand new Shell Recharge fast charging station has been opened in the city of Almere, Netherlands. The new facility has been built in a branded service station operated by N. van Staveren B.V., a fuel retailer that operates a network of 35 forecourts in the north and east regions of the country.
The operator celebrated the new addition with an inauguration ceremony. A total of three fast chargers of 150kWh each were installed to ensure a fast charging experience, with only 20 minutes needed for the battery to be charged at 80%, depending on the type of car.
Each charger comes with two plugs on each pole, allowing six vehicles to charge simultaneously. Any type of electric vehicle and with all types of charging cards can be powered. A large display on the charging station shows the exact speed of charging and the percentage of battery charge.
After Emmeloord, the first fast charging site of the company, this is the second charging station in the network of family business Van Staveren, with a third scheduled to be opened this year. Three more charging locations are planned for next year to meet the growing demand of customers to recharge during the day and help drivers in the transition to emission-free driving.
