Shell Recharge promotes e-mobility with new pop-up station
The company has partnered with Mercedes-Benz for a special campaign to promote the benefits of electric vehicles while offering drivers a relaxing atmosphere.
Shell Recharge has partnered up with Mercedes-Benz to launch a special campaign at its branded filling station in Amsinckstraße, Hamburg. Both companies have installed a pop-up store where drivers can learn more about the benefits and opportunities of e-mobility or relax while they charge their electric vehicles (EV).
The installation is equipped with two covered High Power Charges to offer customers more charging spots and invite them inside the store. With a small but relaxing and quiet atmosphere, clients can enjoy a drink while they wait or dedicate the time to work thanks to free Wi-Fi and the many amenities the site offers.
In addition, Mercedes-EQ customers can charge their vehicles for free or have a free car wash Monday to Sunday from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm and also enjoy a free coffee.
"During the charging process, customers can find out about the latest Mercedes-EQ models, book a test drive and find out more about the ambitions of Mercedes-Benz and also Shell on the subject of e-mobility," said a Mercedes spokesperson as reported by local news site electrive.net.
The initiative’s main focus is to inform potential customers about the latest innovations and services the brands offer and also bringing combustion engine customers into contact with the topic of e-mobility. In addition, both companies want to have first-hand general feedback on charging experiences with their vehicles to enhance their services and products.
