Spain: Iberdrola to install rapid chargers at Ballenoil stations
It will introduce charging stations in the largest independent network of service stations.
Iberdrola continues to advance its deployment of fast charging points in service stations by reaching an agreement with Ballenoil. The energy provider will install chargers across the network of more than 110 stations in Spain.
Twenty sites have been targeted for the first phase of the rollout during 2019. Chargers will expand gradually throughout the rest of the network.
"The agreement is ambitious and allows us to move forward with an excellent ally that has shown its commitment to sustainable mobility, as proposed to combat climate change, and innovation in serving its customers," explains Luis Buil, head of Smart Mobility Iberdrola.
Ballenoil customers can recharge their vehicles between 20 and 30 minutes, with electricity from 100% renewable and emission-free, which will guarantee certificates of origin (GDO) sources.
