Spain’s Grupo Moure showcases smart store at Motortec

Clàudia Puig de Vega, COO of BIG FISH, told MobilityPlaza about Grupo Moure’s new smart store concept. With three stores already operating, the company plans to open 10 more units in 2025.

At the latest edition of Motortec in Madrid, we had the opportunity to get an up-close look at BIG FISH—Grupo Moure’s bold new venture aiming to revolutionize retail through smart stores. Introduced as a solution that redefines the shopping experience, BIG FISH’s “Techtail” model merges artificial intelligence, sensors, IoT, and data analytics within compact 18 m² spaces that operate without staff or checkout lines. The entire purchase process is autonomous: customers enter with their mobile phone and card, pick their products, and receive a receipt via SMS upon exit.

This innovation marks a new chapter for Grupo Moure, which continues to expand its footprint in fueling, car wash, and now, smart retail. The company owns popular brands in Spain such as Elefante Azul and Autonetoil.
