SPAR expands its retail footprint in Northwest Italy
DESPAR Italia closed 2020 with two new openings in the Piedmont region.
Gruppo 3A, partner of DESPAR Italia for the Northwest, closed the year 2020 with two new additions to its retail portfolio in the Piedmont region: a EUROSPAR Supermarket in Castagnito, in the province of Cuneo, and a DESPAR Express in Trofarello, in the province of Turin.
Offering shopping convenience, these SPAR stores promote locally sourced products and typical delicacies from local suppliers as well as the DESPAR Own Brands for Italian products.
“We make daily choices to enhance our local communities. To us, this means promoting the products from our local suppliers, so that excellent products from our region become more widely known,” say EUROSPAR store’s independent retailers Stefania and Maurizio Bolle, who own five other stores in the area between Cuneo and Asti.
Shopping convenience for local customers is available also online, through the stores’ e-commerce sites, offering both deliveries and click-and-collect options.
SPAR Italy, known locally as DESPAR Italia, was first granted the licence to operate the SPAR Brand in 1959, becoming the first partnership of retailers and wholesalers to operate in the country. DESPAR Italia licenses regional partners.
