SPAR Hungary modernizes recruitment and training with AI and e-learning
New career platform and digital academy highlight strategic focus on innovation and people-centric growth.
SPAR Hungary has launched a comprehensive modernization of its recruitment and training systems, introducing artificial intelligence and advanced e-learning tools.
As one of the largest employers in Hungary, with nearly 14,000 employees, the company aims to align its HR operations with its strategic focus on innovation and long-term employee development. The revamp includes a completely redesigned career website and a new digital recruitment platform designed to streamline and personalize the entire candidate journey, from application through onboarding.
According to Ildikó Kállai Szijjné, Head of HR at SPAR Hungary, the company is committed to ensuring that its hiring processes reflect its professionalism and human-first values. “Human resources are not merely an operational matter, but a strategic asset,” she emphasized.
SPAR Hungary’s upgraded career platform features a mobile-optimized, user-friendly interface and fully digital workflows that manage everything from job posting and candidate tracking to offer acceptance.
The system allows real-time updates on application statuses and enables faster, more targeted hiring decisions. AI-powered job advertisements reach potential candidates with personalized messaging, while interactive avatars provide a dynamic, authentic view of company culture and values.
Beyond recruitment, SPAR Hungary is strengthening its investment in employee development through the SPAR Online Academy, a digital learning environment accessible across its network. The platform includes onboarding and mentoring programs, as well as the Procurement Academy, which allows staff and managers to track and assess training outcomes.
With these digital innovations, SPAR Hungary is not only aiming to attract top talent but also to cultivate an empowered, future-ready workforce.
