SPAR Italy adds new express store in Savona
Located in the heart of the city, the new DESPAR express adds to the existing DESPAR Supermarkets in Spotorno and Bergeggi, Savone province.
SPAR Italy, known locally as DESPAR Italia, recently opened a new DESPAR express in Savona, in the Northwest of Italy. Located in the heart of the city, the new convenience store offers a mix of typical regional products and fresh products.
This is the third store to be opened by independent retailers in Savone province, Donatella Gaggero and Angelo Melara, adding to the existing DESPAR Supermarkets in Spotorno and Bergeggi.
“In this store, we strive to offer high-quality service to local residents, creating an opportunity for connection between consumers to enjoy the excellence of the local food and wine tradition”, says retailer Angelo Melara, placing the emphasis on local products.
SPAR Italy was first granted the SPAR Brand’s licence in 1959, opening its firs store in 1960. In addition, SPAR Italy licenses regional partners, operating stores under three formats: DESPAR Neighbourhood Supermarkets, EUROSPAR Supermarkets, and INTERSPAR Hypermarkets. Many of the larger format stores are company-owned.
