Tesco is set to deploy new forecourt and payment technologies across its network of more than 700 petrol stations.

The retailer will integrate systems to create a unified fueling and payment environment across its sites, as part of a broader partnership with Vontier. The initiative builds on existing integration between Invenco's outdoor payment applications and Gilbarco Veeder-Root's forecourt management technologies.

According to the companies, the project is intended to provide Tesco with greater operational visibility while streamlining transactions for customers at the pump and in-store.

The forecourt controller is designed to connect with Tesco's point-of-sale systems and software, enabling real-time monitoring of forecourt operations. The technology is expected to support transaction processing, site management and data visibility across the retailer's fuel network.

“By leveraging the combined strengths of our market-leading businesses, Vontier is proud to deliver integrated solutions designed to best serve the unique needs of our customers,” said Andy Bennett, Group President of Convenience Retail at Vontier.

The retailer expects the rollout to help improve efficiency while enhancing the fueling experience for customers.
