ryd, the Connected Car platform and largest cross-brand in-app solution for mobile payment at the gas station, is reorganising its management as the start-up scales its business in Europe.

Dr. Armin Höll-Steier, former Managing Director of CHECK24 and most recently a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group, will chair ryd's management team as Chief Executive Officer. The position of Chief Financial Officer will be held by Roger Barth, former management consultant at Horváth & Partners and Vice President Finance at unu.

With the new management team members joining in, ryd co-founder Johannes Martens will in future focus his responsibilities on product strategy and ryd pay and will act as Chief Product Officer.

"For ryd the expansion of the management team is a gain in breadth and expertise", says Oliver Götz, founder and Executive Chairman of ryd. "The new structure allows us to position our business fields even more specifically and effectively and to drive ryd's growth through additional competencies.”

ryd is a product of ThinxNet GmbH, a fast growing IoT / FinTech start-up founded in 2014 in Munich. ryd is a connected car platform focusing on ryd pay and ryd box. ryd pay is the largest cross-brand solution for mobile payments directly at the gas pump.
