UK: Certas Energy acquires first truck stop

The acquisition of The Hollies will be the first truck stop operated by Certas Energy.

Certas Energy has acquired of Roadking (Hollies) Cannock, a truck stop in West Midlands that includes a transport cafe, HGV parking and coach services.

The acquisition of The Hollies will be the first truck stop operated by Certas Energy and is strategically important to the development of the company’s Roadside Services offer. The facility will be developed and will bring together SNAP Account, Fuel Cards and Retail expertise to offer a safer, easier and more seamless experience for HGV drivers and Fleet Managers.

Certas Energy, the largest independent distributor of fuel and lubricants in the UK, already has a 24-hour HGV refuelling bunker on the site. The acquisition will also enhance the SNAP Account HGV parking network.

SNAP Account is Europe’s leading smart digital payment platform and market-place for HGV fleets, drivers and service providers. SNAP Account’s network includes over 300 HGV parking and washing locations in UK and Europe, including the Hollies at Cannock.
