USA: Greenlots will rebrand to Shell Recharge Solutions from 2022
The EV charging firm has announced that the new identity will unify the company with its European counterpart, NewMotion, under a single brand.
EV charging solutions company Greenlots has announced that it will rebrand to Shell Recharge Solutions in early 2022. The new name will unify the firm and its European counterpart, NewMotion, under a single brand to consolidate Shell regional electric charging services into one identity.
“The upcoming brand change will help Shell to move our electric charging capability and offer from local to global; we will unify our brand, our people, and our capabilities across Europe, Asia and North America, ensuring we are better placed to provide our customers with the EV Charging solutions they need,” commented Shell Electric Mobility’s Vice President, Roger Hunter.
The new brand identity will continue to support the electric transformation of the firm by expanding the EV charging infrastructure, electric mobility and medium and heavy-duty electrification across the North American region. In 2021, the company launched, through industry partnerships, an expansive bi-lateral roaming network that provides access to more than 57,000 charging points across the U.S. and Canada.
“Our name is changing, but our vision to lower carbon emissions is more focused than ever. We have ambitious targets and as Shell Recharge Solutions we will further integrate the expertise shared across three businesses to provide more customers with smart EV charging solutions, delivered through a consistent brand experience,” added Andreas Lips, CEO of Greenlots.
Shell Recharge Solutions will provide Shell Recharge branded hardware and software services for home and business, in addition to supporting the Shell Recharge public charging network, and providing existing white label solutions. This consolidates Shell’s commitment to operate 500,000 chargers globally by 2025 in its plan to become a net zero emissions business by 2050 or sooner.
