USA: Kwik Trip celebrates 800th store milestone
In less than a decade, the retail chain has doubled the amount of locations across the country with its most recent Holmen opening.
Kwik Trip celebrated the milestone of opening its 800th store eight years after it unveiled its 400th location. The company doubled its presence in the United States in less than a decade with its latest Holmen opening held last Thursday.
According to a report by local media outlet The La Crosse Tribune, the newest site is what the firm calls a “Generation 3 store”, incorporating softer colors in its design. It features a car wash and a side-diesel canopy with non-ethanol fuel station for boats, campers and drivers pulling trailers in a space of about 9,000 square feet.
Customers will be treated to a small grocery market experience with a variety of different types of foods delivered fresh daily. Although the store opened this week, the company scheduled an open house event for the 5th of January with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10.
The La Crosse-based company currently has more than 32,000 employees across its stores located in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. One of Kwik Trip’s many benefits for its workers is its commitment to share 40% of the company’s pre-tax profits with its coworkers.
