USA: Wawa to enter the Nashville market by 2025
The retailer is still set to achieve its plans to open 54 stores by the end of 2022 but has unveiled a new expansion strategy beyond that stage.
Wawa continues to work on its goal to double its store count by 2030 and has announced a new expansion plan to reach Nashville, Tennessee by 2025. The retailer aims to open its first store in the city by that year and with a potential to inaugurate up to 40 locations in the market in the future.
“With a commitment to Fulfilling Lives in our community, we’re thrilled to continue our growth in new markets to provide quality fresh food, beverages and support to new friends and neighbours. We are excited to expand beyond our current operating area and look forward to serving the community come 2025 and beyond,” said John Poplawski, Vice President of Real Estate for Wawa.
Wawa continues to open stores throughout its current markets and is set to open 54 new stores in 2022. Additionally, the company has plans to enter new, adjacent markets in the next few years.
Back in April, the brand laid out its ambition to double its store count by the end of the decade. Apart from opening new locations in the Florida and South Alabama regions, the retailer is working on expanding its footprint in order to operate approximately 1,800 stores by 2030.
