Valero reaches 80 gas stations in Mexico
The U.S. fuel giant continues to expand its network despite the economic context.
US operator Valero has reached 80 flagship service stations in Mexico this week. It also said it will soon have 6 million barrels of storage capacity in the country, reports El Economista.
Valero's flagged stations are spread across ten Mexican states including Mexico State, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nuevo León and Puebla. The latest gas station was opened in the capital of Aguascalientes.
This investment is in addition to the construction of the new hydrocarbon storage terminal with Grupo Mexico in Aguascalientes. With an investment of 20 million dollars, it will have a storage capacity of 140,000 barrels.
"The opening of another service station in Aguascalientes is a sign of Valero's commitment to contribute to the development and efficiency of the Mexican energy sector, hand in hand with our partners at Grupo Alpez, key to the success of this project," said Carlos J. García, president and general manager of Valero in Mexico.
At its service stations, Valero offers Supreme 93, the only 93 octane petrol in the country, Propel Tech additive and regular 87 octane petrol.
