Van Kessel opens new Greenpoint Clean Energy Hub in the Netherlands
The new site is divided into four parts to offer drivers a wide variety of regular and alternative fuels along with a convenience store.
Van Kessel opened a new Greenpoint location in the Netherlands as its most recent “Clean Energy Hub”. The recently inaugurated site is located in Ede, Gelderland, and offers its customers a variety of regular and sustainable fuels as well as convenience store solutions, all divided into four parts.
This brand new location is divided into a Greenpoint filling station for delivery vans and trucks, which includes HVO renewable diesel and TRAXX premium diesel; a bp filling station for cars; a shop/horeca part of Tanq+ and fast chargers for electric cars. In addition, a hydrogen filling station is set to be installed in the near future.
Greenpoint Ede offers HVO diesel, one of the best options to make existing diesel cars more sustainable because it’s not produced from petroleum, but from renewable raw materials such as waste vegetable oils. This makes it possible to reduce the CO2 emissions of the current diesel fleet by 90%. Both HVO100 and HVO20 are available on site.
The new facility is also equipped with two 150kW fast chargers that can charge electric car’s batteries up to 80% at an average of 30 minutes. Waiting drivers can visit the modern Tanq+ shop with an extensive bakery with fresh bread rolls and snacks.
The province of Gelderland is a great advocate of hydrogen and is in discussion with various companies from the region that would like to use hydrogen in transport and industry. The company is also participating in the H2Milkrun project, for example, in which an innovative hydrogen tanker will fill vehicles and machines with hydrogen on site.
