Visa and Westpac to launch new fleet payment solution in Australia
The solution is designed to improve visibility and control for fleet managers while reducing friction for drivers in day-to-day operations.
Visa is partnering with Australian bank Westpac to advance fleet payment capabilities in the country, with a new solution set to launch later this year.
The initiative centers on instant digital card issuance built on Visa credentials, giving fleet operators access to payment infrastructure accepted at any Visa-enabled merchant.
"As fleet operations become more connected and data-driven, there's opportunity for payments to help make everyday operations simpler and more efficient," a Visa spokesperson said.
The solution is designed to improve visibility and control for fleet managers while reducing friction for drivers in day-to-day operations. By moving toward digital card issuance, fleets can onboard new vehicles or drivers faster without relying on physical card distribution.
Westpac, one of Australia's largest banks, brings local financial infrastructure and customer reach to the partnership, while Visa contributes its global acceptance network and credentials framework.
