Warrenton Oil acquires convenience stores from Thoele Oil

The family-owned company now operates over 65 retail outlets and 20 car washes across Central and Eastern Missouri.

Warrenton Oil Co. has acquired Thoele Oil, growing its footprint up to more than 65 stores and 20 car washes across the Central and Eastern Missouri region.

The family-owned and operated company, founded in 1972 and based in Missouri, employs 1,000 citizens throughout its retail network. Warrenton and its FastLane Convenience Stores will take over 10 shops as part of the deal with Thoele, expanding its reach into St. Charles, St. Peters and O’Fallon in the state.

“The addition of these stores will allow us to better serve our customers and their communities throughout Missouri. We are excited to expand our convenience store business footprint and serve the many customers of Thoele Oil,” said Wayne Baker, President & CEO of Warrenton Oil Company, according to a report by local news site CStore Decisions.

Thoele’s acquisition by Warrenton follows the October 2021 purchase of Abel Oil Co, another family-owned chain based in Missouri. On that previous deal, That acquisition included 18 convenience stores which are currently operating under the Abel’s Quick Shop brand.
