YPF partners with McDonald’s to expand retail offer
Agreement with Arcos Dorados brings new food options across the company’s fuel station network in Argentina.
YPF has signed a strategic agreement with Arcos Dorados to introduce McDonald’s outlets across its service station network, aiming to enhance the customer experience at its fuel retail locations in Argentina. The deal, signed by CEO Horacio Marín and Arcos Dorados Executive Chairman Woods Staton, will see the rollout of multiple formats adapted to different station profiles.
Under the agreement, McDonald’s restaurants will be integrated into YPF stations through standalone units, shared indoor spaces or co-located formats without shared seating, many of them offering drive-thru service. The initiative aligns with the energy company’s broader strategy to modernize its network and diversify services, focusing on convenience and evolving consumer demand across urban and highway locations.
“This partnership represents a key step in our strategy to transform the network and enhance the customer experience. It also marks the fulfillment of a personal dream: to take McDonald’s to places only YPF can reach, to every corner of the country,” said Marín.
For McDonald’s operator Arcos Dorados, the partnership expands its footprint and strengthens its positioning in Argentina. “As part of the 40th anniversary of the chain’s arrival in the country, we are expanding our product lines to adapt to our customers’ habits and consumption patterns,” added Woods Staton.
The partnership also supports YPF’s ongoing transformation of its service stations, building on new concepts already introduced in select locations, as it seeks to deliver a more integrated and flexible retail experience.
