Chart is a pioneer in the global adoption of natural gas and hydrogen as clean-burning, safe and economical fuel alternatives to diesel. We are the preferred vendor of major truck and bus OEMs for onboard fuel tanks and engine fuelling systems for their LNG powered vehicles. Europe recently surpassed 500 LNG/LCNG fuelling stations for natural gas vehicles. A quarter of these are engineered and built directly by Chart with Chart major cryogenic equipment (tanks, vaporizers, dispensers) included in more than half of all stations built. The Dyna-Flow dispenser, built by Chart subsidiary Flow Instruments, is the market leader.

Chart is also pioneering the adoption of liquid hydrogen as a zero carbon fuel for heavy haulage vehicles. Again, we have developed onboard fuel tanks in conjunction with the major truck and bus OEMs and applied our LNG expertise to build the refuelling infrastructure.
