7-Eleven eyes European expansion
The master franchisor of the brand worldwide announced it is seeking suitable candidates to participate in the development of new locations throughout the Western region.
7-Eleven International LLC, the master franchisor of the 7-Eleven brand worldwide, has announced it is seeking suitable candidates to be part of the development of new locations of the brand across Western Europe.
The company stated that countries such as Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom are part of the research process to find new Master Franchise candidates. Currently, the firm operates more than 83,000 convenience stores located in 19 countries.
“Convenience food is a global trend and a growing market. With a high-quality range of fresh food and beverages, 7-Eleven is already a leader in this segment in Asia and North America. We have recognized that the need for high-quality convenience food is also great in Europe. That’s why the European market is now a leading expansion area for the 7-Eleven brand,” said Ken Wakabayashi, Co-CEO at 7-Eleven International, according to a report published by NACS.
Other potential countries that could benefit from this expansion are Austria and Switzerland, according to 7-Eleven International. Its latest foray into a new country was last January, when it opened its first store in Israel.
