Applegreen brings Taco Bell to Ireland in new strategic partnership

Fuel retailer to open country’s first location this summer as part of €1 billion expansion plan.

Applegreen has announced a landmark partnership with Taco Bell, marking the arrival of the Mexican-inspired restaurant brand to the Irish market for the first time.

The first Taco Bell restaurant in Ireland is set to open this summer, with additional outlets planned at Applegreen sites across the country over the next five years. The move is part of Applegreen’s broader €1 billion investment strategy, which aims to accelerate growth both in Ireland and internationally.

The American chain is known for favourites such as Crunchy Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, Nachos, and the signature Crunchwrap Supreme, and operates more than 8,700 restaurants worldwide.

The partnership reflects Applegreen’s continued focus on enhancing its foodservice portfolio and delivering world-class hospitality experiences across its network. Taco Bell’s arrival is expected to strengthen footfall at key locations while offering Irish consumers a new, vibrant dining option.

This announcement comes amid Applegreen’s ambitious expansion drive, which includes significant investment in infrastructure, services, and global partnerships to position the brand at the forefront of modern retail and travel hospitality.
