Aramco names new president of downstream operations
Mohammed Y. Al Qahtani will be in charge of the business and will report to the company’s President & CEO, Amin H. Nasser.
Aramco has renewed its leadership team by appointing two new executives. The company’s new President of downstream is Mohammed Y. Al Qahtani, named alongside Nasir K. Al-Naimi, who will assume as President of upstream.
Both authorities will report to the firm’s President & CEO, Amin H. Nasser, alongside the company’s Executive Vice Presidents. The newly created positions and appointments will be effective in July and will replace the previous Upstream and Downstream Executive Vice President positions respectively.
“We expect this decision to help drive operational and financial performance, supporting our upstream capacity growth and our downstream expansion, together with our ambition to achieve net-zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions across wholly-owned operated assets by 2050,” said Nasser.
These appointments will help drive the Company’s long-term strategy across its global portfolio and value chain.
