Atawey acquires McPhy’s hydrogen station business

The €12 million deal includes a network of 70 locations and a 2,400m2 production area that can support up to 80 stations per year.

McPhy Energy and Atawey announced the completion of the transaction on McPhy's refueling stations business.

With this €12 million transaction, Atawey is acquiring a hydrogen refueling network encompassing 70 sites and an industrial tool with a capacity of over 80 stations per year. More than 40 employees will join the company’s team, growing its staff to a total of 145 employees.

"This important milestone will enable us to support our growth and accelerate our international development. Thanks to our new industrial capacities, the mutual enrichment of our teams, and our unique expertise of over twenty-five years in the market, we are in a position to meet all needs and position ourselves as a key player in Europe's energy transition”, said Jean-Michel Amaré, Chairman and co-founder of Atawey.

The 2,400m2 production facility will enable Atawey to fulfill its €25 million order backlog and meet its future growth projections.

Originally, McPhy received the binding offer last February but has recently confirmed the purchase agreement.
