Clean Energy expands RNG and LNG deals across the U.S.
Fleet operators and space companies turn to renewable and liquefied natural gas for cleaner, cost-effective operations.
Clean Energy Fuels has announced a wave of new agreements across the United States, underscoring the growing shift toward lower-carbon fuel solutions. The deals span several industries, from dairy and waste management to logistics and even space exploration, and include fuel supply, infrastructure development, and operations and maintenance services.
“As more fleets look to decarbonize their operations, RNG continues to stand out as a proven, economical and scalable solution that is ready now,” said Chad Lindholm, senior vice president at Clean Energy.
Among the latest contracts, United Dairymen of Arizona will receive 200,000 gallons of RNG annually to power milk transport trucks, many featuring Cummins’ X15N natural gas engine. Paper Transport signed on for roughly 250,000 gallons a year to fuel its growing fleet, while Giant Oil will supply 180,000 gallons of RNG at its Pennsylvania station serving customers like Pitt-Ohio.
Other new RNG deals include Birkmire Trucking (100,000 gallons), Vestis (12 medium-duty trucks in Texas and California), and the Atlantic City Jitney Association (300,000 gallons annually for 125 new shuttle buses). Waste and recycling leader Republic Services continues expanding its RNG footprint with new fueling stations in Colorado and Nevada, while USA Hauling & Recycling renewed its contract for 2.5 million gallons annually.
Clean Energy also broadened its bulk LNG business, signing new agreements with space technology firms Astrobotic and Stoke Space, as well as Apollo Energy Resources, collectively totaling 700,000 gallons. The company operates two LNG plants in California and Texas to meet growing demand across marine, industrial, and aerospace sectors.
