EnBW becomes first operator with over 6,000 fast chargers in Germany
The company’s HyperNetz now offers drivers access to more than 700,000 charging points across Europe.
EnBW has become the operator of Germany's largest fast-charging network, as it is now the first company to exceed over 6,000 fast-charging points throughout the country.
Through its expansion strategy, the charging point operator is responding to the needs of electric vehicle (EV) drivers. After the completion of this milestone, the firm will continue to invest in a reliable and dense fast-charging network that is available to all drivers in Germany.
“We have achieved our goal and installed more than 1,000 new fast-charging points since July of this year. This is the strongest half-year to date since the commissioning of our first fast charger at the end of 2016 on the A8 near Stuttgart,” says EnBW Board Member for Sales Dirk Güsewell.
EnBW has developed into one of the leaders in the field of e-mobility in recent years and covers the entire spectrum with its subsidiaries. This encompasses electricity generation from renewable energy sources to the establishment, expansion and operation of charging infrastructure and digital solutions for consumers.
The company’s HyperNetz offers drivers access to more than 700,000 charging points in Europe and its mobility+ app to find the nearest charging option available alongside convenient payment options.
