German utility EnBW has introduced a new loyalty program for electric vehicle (EV) charging, enabling customers to earn points that can be converted into charging credit. The “EnBW collect” initiative is available free of charge to private customers using the company’s mobility+ charging tariff.

The program allows users to automatically collect points with every charging session at EnBW stations, earning two points per kilowatt-hour. Once a customer reaches 500 points, they can convert them into €5 of charging credit directly through the EnBW mobility+ app, offering a way to reduce overall charging costs.

“Loyalty programs are well established in many industries. With EnBW collect, we’re applying this principle to e-mobility,” said Lars Jacobs, Chief Commercial Officer E-Mobility at EnBW, noting that the initiative aims to integrate charging infrastructure, tariffs and digital services more closely.

The loyalty scheme is accessible through a single registration using existing app credentials, with points tracked automatically and visible through an online portal. EnBW plans to expand the program with additional features, including time-limited promotions and bonus point campaigns at selected locations.

The rollout follows a pilot phase involving approximately 5,000 users, during which the company refined the system based on customer feedback. EnBW operates one of Germany’s largest fast-charging networks, with more than 8,000 high-power charging points supplied by renewable electricity.
