EnBW unveils Hamburg's largest fast-charging park
The company has installed 20 400 kW charging points in direct proximity to garden centers and restaurants.
EnBW has opened the largest high power charging park in Hamburg-Marmstorf with up to 400 kilowatts of power for electric vehicles (EV).
Located in the city of Hanseatic, drivers have 20 charging points available on site which can charge up to 400 kilometers of range in just 15 minutes. Established in the garden of Ehren Gartencenter, the charging site also features a restaurant nearby and is directly connected to the A7 highway between Flensburg and Hanover.
This makes the site suitable both for simple everyday charging while shopping and for fast intermediate charging on long journeys.
With more than 5,000 charging points, EnBW operates one of the largest fast-charging networks in Germany. The energy company is pushing ahead with its expansion in order to continue to provide around 20% of the nationwide fast charging infrastructure in the future, with an investment close to €200 million a year.
