Evri introduces locker trial with Tesco and MFG in the UK
Company will introduce hundreds of new lockers at MFG forecourts as demand for parcels grows.
Evri has announced a major expansion of its parcel locker network, unveiling a trial with Tesco and a nationwide rollout across 500 Motor Fuel Group (MFG) petrol stations. The move forms part of the delivery company’s plan to double its ParcelShop and locker footprint by 2030.
The Tesco pilot, beginning this week, will see Evri-branded lockers installed at selected Extra and Superstore sites. It builds on the companies’ existing partnership, which allows customers to collect Tesco Clubcard points on Evri shipments.
Alongside the trial, Evri will introduce hundreds of new lockers at MFG forecourts, many of which host Morrisons Daily, Starbucks and Subway outlets. The rollout starts this month, aiming to offer greater convenience for customers sending or receiving parcels while refuelling or shopping.
The expansion follows new research commissioned by Evri, suggesting that delivery convenience plays an increasingly central role for UK shoppers. According to the survey, 95% of respondents said the location of a parcel delivery matters, while 78% would use a parcel locker. Nearly half expressed concern that gifts for events such as Mother’s Day might arrive late.
