From September 8 to 10, the 22nd edition of ExpoPostos & Conveniência will be back at the São Paulo Expo exhibition center, the region's leading gathering point for the fuel retail, convenience and food service sectors. Organized by GL events Exhibitions, alongside industry associations ABIEPS and Fecombustíveis, the event has grown into the main showcase for professionals looking to understand where Brazil's forecourt and convenience business is heading, and where it can connect with global suppliers driving that change.

Show floor growth, global voices on stage

This year's edition arrives with a record exhibition floor: more than 30,000m², a 25% increase over 2024, and over 250 national and international exhibitors spanning automation, technology, infrastructure and services. Convenience and food service solutions take on a larger footprint than in previous editions, reflecting how much weight that segment now carries in forecourt strategy. Organizers expect more than 30,000 visitors, with strong local and international delegations traveling in from across Brazil and the rest of the world.

“ExpoPostos & Conveniência arrives at this edition reflecting a market undergoing full transformation,” describes Tatiana Zaccaro, Business Unit Director and Managing Director of GL events Exhibitions, organizers of the trade fair. “The gas station is no longer just a fueling point, it has become a true hub of services, convenience, technology, and new experiences for the consumer. Bringing together in São Paulo the leading players in this chain, along with specialists and professionals from different countries, shows the strength of the Brazilian market and how far we've advanced in innovation and new business models.”

The program runs on two parallel tracks. In the mornings, the International Forum brings in global voices to frame the big-picture conversation, this year's confirmed speakers include economist Alexandre Schwartsman, navigator and entrepreneur Amyr Klink, Accenture's Brian Gray, and innovation strategist Walter Longo. Afternoons belong to the Arena do Conhecimento, a free, open-access space with four simultaneous 360º stages organized around management and strategy, convenience and retail, operations and infrastructure, and technology and digitalization. Many of its speakers will double as exhibitors, which keeps the content tied directly to what's on the show floor.

For international professionals, that combination is the draw: a forum that anticipates where the market is going, paired with a fair where the suppliers building that future are physically present. A new official event app rounds out the experience, letting attendees manage credentials, filter exhibitors and plan their visit before they even arrive at the pavilion.

That international presence isn't just about being on the floor, it's about adapting global platforms to Brazil's specific market conditions, from fuel taxation to blending mandates. PDI Technologies, present at the fair, is one example of that localization effort.

“Brazil's evolving fuel market has driven the development of specialized capabilities within the PDI Fuel Pricing solution. Designed specifically for local market conditions, the PDI Fuel Pricing Brazil Package incorporates factors such as ethanol and biodiesel pricing, taxation, freight costs, and other country-specific requirements,” details Melina Puma, Account Executive at PDI Technologies.

São Paulo leads the way

ExpoPostos & Conveniência isn't just a trade fair, it's where Brazil's fuel and convenience sector gather to set the agenda for what comes next. For suppliers and retailers alike, three days in São Paulo compress a year's worth of market intelligence, deal-making and benchmarking into one place, at a moment when the segment's international relevance keeps climbing.

“Our expectation is for three days full of business, connections, knowledge, and above all, opportunities for those building the future of the industry,” concludes Zaccaro.
