Fortech and Mastercard partner up for fleet payment data in Europe
The new partnership will deliver advanced transactional data for fleet payments, boosting efficiency, transparency and regulatory compliance.
Fortech and Mastercard have announced a strategic partnership to launch an innovative fleet card functionality designed to streamline corporate fleet management in Italy and across Europe. The initiative responds to a growing demand for digitalisation and simplified processes in a sector that includes more than one million company vehicles in Italy, with long-term leasing accounting for around 30% of new registrations.
The new solution will enrich transaction data with key information such as vehicle licence plate, kilometres travelled, fuel type, litres dispensed and price per litre. This data will be accessible directly through corporate payment cards, giving fleet managers enhanced tools for cost control and reconciliation. The move comes at a time when, according to research by Webfleet, 91% of Italian fleet managers plan to increase their investment in technology over the next five years.
By integrating Fortech’s and Mastercard’s platforms, the system looks to facilitate easier accounting reconciliation and compliance with local fiscal and regulatory requirements. It will be compatible with existing acceptance networks and directly connect with Fortech’s Fattura1Click e-invoicing platform, reducing implementation costs and time for both issuers and fleet operators.
