HAM adds LNG and Bio-LNG refueling station in León

New facility targets heavy-duty transport fleets and strengthens natural gas vehicle infrastructure in northwestern Spain.

HAM Group has opened a new LNG, CNG, Bio-LNG and Bio-CNG refueling station in León, expanding fuel supply options for commercial fleets and heavy-duty transport operators in one of Spain’s key logistics corridors.

Located in the Villadangos Industrial Park, west of León, the facility is designed to support freight transport moving through Castilla y León as well as routes connecting Galicia, Asturias and central Spain.

The station features a 59-cubic-meter mobile storage unit and two dispensers, each equipped to supply Bio-LNG and LNG. According to HAM, the configuration is intended to improve refueling efficiency and accommodate different types of transport vehicles while providing operational flexibility in high-traffic industrial areas.

The opening is part of the company’s broader network expansion strategy, as it currently operates more than 160 LNG, CNG and biomethane refueling stations across its network.

According to the company, the use of biomethane and natural gas-based fuels can help reduce the environmental impact of road transport compared with conventional fuel options while supporting lower-emission logistics operations.
