HRS, Simplifhy team up to develop hydrogen refuelling solutions

The companies will use part of the Italian government’s allocation of €530 million for hydrogen experimentation to fulfil their collaboration.

HRS and Simplifhy have announced the signing of a collaborative partnership to develop joint business opportunities in Italy for hydrogen refuelling solutions. This non-exclusive agreement will allow the French manufacturer of hydrogen stations to be offered in Italy with dedicated local technical support, while reducing the cost and installation time of the projects on site.

The association will benefit from the Italian government allocation of €530 million from the national recovery and resilience plan to experiment with hydrogen for rail and road transport. The country aims to build at least 40 refuelling stations for light and heavy vehicles by 2026.

"HRS and Simplifhy share a common vision that hydrogen should be at the service of decarbonization. This partnership is designed to boost the hydrogen market at the European level, a necessary step in the ecological transition. It is also fully in line with HRS' strategy to increase its production, while respecting the highest quality standards, and to conquer new markets," said Hassen Rachedi, President and CEO of HRS.

HRS designs, manufactures, markets and maintains hydrogen refuelling stations for all types of vehicles. Across the Alps, Simplifhy develops customised and integrated solutions for hydrogen production, compression, storage and refuelling, with experience in installation, service and support.

"Together with Hassen, Olivier and Adamo, we are committed to offering innovative solutions to the Italian market, with a robust supply, storage and distribution chain that meets the safety, quality and reliability standards required for this type of equipment," added Sergio Torriani, President and CEO of Simplifhy.
