Oryx Energies opens new LPG station in Côte d'Ivoire
The over three hectares site has a filling capacity of 1,200 6 kg cylinders and 800 12.5 kg cylinders per hour with a storage capacity of 200 tons.
Oryx Energies has opened its newest Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) filling station in Daloa, in the center-west of Côte d'Ivoire, the company’s fourth in the country.
The facility features a filling capacity of 1,200 6 kg cylinders per hour, and 800 cylinders of 12,5 kg per hour. Covering an area of more than three hectares, the site features an storage capacity of 200 tons, with the possibility of future extension to 300 tons.
“This milestone strengthens Oryx Energies’ position as a major player in LPG distribution in Côte d'Ivoire. We are proud to contribute to the growing energy needs of the region with cleaner energy solutions,” said Simon Pemont, Managing Director of Oryx Energies Côte d'Ivoire.
The opening ceremony was attended by government officials and stakeholders, including the local authorities and senior representatives from the Ministry of Mines, Petroleum and Energy which oversees LPG activities.
Oryx Gaz Côte d'Ivoire is a leading operator in the country with the largest number of filling centers and extensive geographical coverage of the territory. In addition to the existing stations in Vridi, Bouaké, and Abengourou, the Daloa plant will facilitate the transport and availability of products, helping to preserve the environment and improve public health in the region.
