Osprey Charging opens fifth EV hub in supermarket

As part of its collaboration with Supermarket REIT, the company has installed 58 ultra-rapid charging points across England.

Osprey Charging has opened a new electric vehicle (EV) charging hub at Chineham Tesco & Shopping Park, Basingstoke, its fifth rapid charging location opened in partnership with Supermarket Income REIT.

Through the first year of the partnership, the company has installed a total of 58 ultra-rapid charging points across five charging hubs in England. The newest hub offers eight ultra-rapid 300kW DC chargers, and is compatible with every EV on the market today.

“The first year of our roll-out with Supermarket Income REIT demonstrates the success of this important partnership and the excellent opportunity available to commercial landlords: to future-proof their assets, support important sustainability goals, and provide retail customers with the high-quality EV charging they will come to expect,” said Ian Johnston, CEO of Osprey Charging.

Both companies have collaborated through several brands, rolling out chargers across Morrisons and Tesco outlets. All sites offer at least six chargers each and have been equipped to meet the demand of customers based on each location.

Osprey Charging aims to continue this partnership and strengthen the UK’s charging network to provide customers with reliable rapid charging on the go.
