Pilot, GM and EVgo surpass 300 EV fast-charging locations across US
The network now covers approximately 75% of the contiguous United States, spanning more than 2.2 million square miles.
Pilot Company, General Motors and EVgo Inc. have announced that their joint EV fast-charging network has crossed 300 locations, offering 1,300 fast-charging stalls in 40 states. The network now covers approximately 75% of the contiguous United States, spanning more than 2.2 million square miles.
"Reaching more than 300 locations reflects our commitment to building a coast-to-coast charging network and delivering an exceptional travel experience that shows EV drivers they matter," said Scott Hundley, director of light duty EV and infrastructure at Pilot.
Since launching in 2022, Pilot's charging network has earned a Plugshare score of 9.41 out of 10 as of July 2026, with locations offering 24/7 staffing, free Wi-Fi, on-site retail and dining, and pull-through stalls for drivers towing trailers.
"Crossing 300 Pilot and EVgo fast-charging locations is an important milestone because it gives EV drivers more of what they need most on the road: simple, convenient and dependable charging," said William Hotchkiss, head of public charging at GM.
The chargers now support several long-distance road trip routes, including corridors from San Antonio to Jacksonville and Detroit to Tampa.
The companies are now more than halfway toward their goal of 2,000 fast-charging stalls across 500 locations nationwide.
