Repsol’s Waylet app surpasses 10 million users

Waylet has steadily expanded from a fuel‑payment tool into a multi‑service platform that spans mobility, retail and energy.

Repsol has reached 10 million users on Waylet, its mobile payment and loyalty app, marking a significant milestone for the Spanish multienergy group. The figure arrives nearly a year ahead of the target outlined in the company’s 2024–2027 strategic plan, underlining the growing role of digital services in its customer strategy.

Launched in 2017, Waylet has steadily expanded from a fuel‑payment tool into a multi‑service platform that spans mobility, retail and energy. Its evolution has been shaped by a series of partnerships and feature upgrades, including integration with Klin in 2018, acceptance at El Corte Inglés stores from 2019, and the addition of electric‑mobility services, online fuel‑station shopping and regulated parking payments in subsequent years.

In 2025, the app surpassed 9 million users before crossing the 10‑million threshold in February 2026. Repsol attributes the rapid growth to a widening ecosystem of services, from EV charging at proprietary and interoperated points to Repsol Klin’s digital car‑wash subscriptions and the recently launched Waylet Luz tariff.

Elena Cano, CEO of Waylet, described the milestone as “a reflection of customer trust and the strength of the digital model we’ve built”, adding that the company will continue expanding features across mobility, energy and everyday services.

Around 30% of users now rely on Waylet for non‑fuel services, a sign of the app’s broader ambitions in Spain’s increasingly competitive digital‑payments market.
