Shell is ending its participation in the Air Miles loyalty program in the Netherlands and will instead offer benefits directly through the Shell App, the company announced. Customers can keep collecting Air Miles at Shell stations until October 31,and redeem them there until December 31.

From November 1, 2026, customers will no longer earn Air Miles at Shell. Any Air Miles they have already collected stay in their Air Miles account, and they can keep using them under the program’s terms.

The energy giant said it looks back with appreciation on its partnership with Air Miles, which lasted more than 30 years. With its own app, the company says it can offer benefits that match what customers need on the road, all in one place and ready to use right away.

Shell made a similar move in Canada earlier this year, when it replaced Air Miles with the Scene+ loyalty program.
