UK: Gasrec adds bio-LNG refuelling station in Boroughbridge
Located at Reed Boardall’s premises, the new site will supply an initial fleet of 30 heavy-duty gas vehicles.
UK’s major fuel provider for gas-powered commercial vehicles Gasrec is adding a new bio-LNG refuelling station for heavy duty vehicles in Boroughbridge. The new site will be located at Reed Boardall’s premises off the A1 motorway, as a result of an agreement between Gasrec and the frozen food distribution business.
Owned and operated by Gasrec, the scalable, skid-mounted station has been designed by Dutch LNG expert LIQAL.
Boroughbridge bio-LNG station will be dedicated to fuel an initial fleet of 30 gas vehicles, with the scalability to grow as Reed Boardall puts more gas trucks into service. The station will be available to third parties by arrangement.
Gasrec and Reed Boardall will install a second station in Scotland later in the year to help Reed Boardall expand its LNG fleet, and to support the infrastructure in the UK, according to a company’s press release.
Gasrec supplies, builds and operates Bio-LNG and Bio-CNG refuelling stations in the United Kingdom.
LIQAL is a future driven Dutch LNG specialist. It develops and designs technology for turnkey fuelling stations for LNG, bio-LNG and hydrogen and develops liquefaction technologies for natural gas and biogas.
