USA: Sheetz celebrates new location opening in Newark

The new site marks the retailer’s 13th location in the state of Ohio, and its 645th in the U.S.

Sheetz celebrated the inauguration of its newest service station and convenience store with a grand opening event. Hundreds of customers joined the celebration and participated in the activities that the franchise prepared for the occasion.

The new site marks the retailer’s 13th location in the state of Ohio, and its 645th across six states across the U.S. According to a report by the local news site, Newark Advocate, the new installation consists of a 6,077-square foot brick and stone building for the convenience store and restaurant. In addition, it’s equipped with indoor and outdoor seating as well as a fuel canopy with eight pumps for refuelling.

The opening was celebrated in Locking County as the first Sheetz store to be built. Despite complaints from some about the demolition of four homes for construction, several neighbours gathered to celebrate the event. Among the activities, the company raffled off gift cards for those who attended the event.
