UTA Edenred reaches 3,000 HVO100 stations across Europe
Expansion strengthens access to low-carbon diesel alternative for transport fleets.
UTA Edenred has expanded its network of HVO100 fuel stations to more than 3,000 locations across 17 European countries, marking a significant milestone in the rollout of alternative fuels for heavy-duty transport.
The mobility services provider, part of Edenred, now offers access to HVO100 stations in major transport markets including Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Spain, France, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden. Fleet operators can refuel at these sites using UTA cards, enabling lower-emission journeys across Europe.
“HVO100 is an effective lever for operating combustion engine vehicles in a more climate-friendly manner,” said Lukas Schneider, Commercial Director EMEA at UTA Edenred. He added that the fuel serves as an “easy-to-use addition” to the company’s electromobility offering, giving customers more options as they transition toward sustainable transport.
HVO100, hydrotreated vegetable oil made from industrial and agricultural waste fats, is chemically similar to diesel and can be used in pure form or mixed with conventional diesel. The fuel offers several performance advantages, including a higher cetane number that enables cleaner combustion and reduced fuel consumption. It also performs well in cold temperatures.
UTA Edenred says the growing network reinforces its commitment to supporting transport companies with practical, lower-carbon solutions while Europe’s freight sector continues its gradual shift toward cleaner mobility.
