Virši completes Astarte takeover, expands network to 101 stations
Latvian fuel retailer adds 17 locations as modernization and rebranding work continues across the network.
Virši has completed the integration of 17 fuel stations acquired from Naftimpeks, expanding its network to 101 service stations across Latvia.
The acquired locations, previously operating under the Astarte brand, are situated in cities and towns including Jelgava, Tukums, Dobele, Iecava, Līvāni and Ķegums. The stations have already begun operating under the Virši brand, while renovation works and visual identity upgrades continue as part of their full integration into the company’s network.
According to the company, the modernization program aims to bring all acquired sites in line with its customer service standards and convenience store concept. The retailer expects the transition process to be completed by the end of 2026.
Commenting on the development, Jānis Vība, Chairman of the Management Board of Virši, said: “With the takeover of these 17 stations, the Virši network now operates 101 service stations, marking a highly significant step in the company’s development.” He added that the company has started making substantial investments in the modernization of the locations to support future growth and strategic objectives.
Virši stated that the integration is being carried out gradually to ensure customers continue to have access to essential services during reconstruction activities. Alongside daily operations, the company is implementing the infrastructure and branding changes required to align the sites with its broader network.
