Weigel’s launches first Auto Spa location

The retailer celebrated a free car wash weekend to commemorate the grand opening at Clinton Highway location.

Convenience store operator Weigel’s has opened its first-ever Weigel’s Auto Spa, adjacent to a store located on Clinton Highway. The launch marks a significant step in the company’s journey, combining premium car care, fuel, food, and digital rewards under one brand ecosystem.

To celebrate the opening, Weigel’s invited the community to explore the new Auto Spa during a Free Car Wash Weekend, serving both as a gesture of appreciation and a hands-on introduction to the Auto Spa’s amenities. The site features wash tunnel systems, smart vacuum stations, and license plate recognition to provide fast, consistent, and high-quality washes.

“The Weigel’s Auto Spa is another step forward in our commitment to delivering convenience that respects our guests’ time and expectations,” said Doug Yawberry, CEO of Weigel’s. “With a clean vehicle, fresh food, quality fuel, and digital rewards all in one place, we’re building a daily destination that feels effortless and rewarding.”

To enhance the experience, the operator launched Ellie’s Journey, a playful digital storyline that guides and entertains guests when they enter the final rinse, blending technology with the brand's customer-first philosophy.

Guests can sign up for Auto Spa memberships and take advantage of the Founders Special, which includes an entry into the Free Gas for a Year Sweepstakes.

The launch of Weigel’s Auto Spa underscores the company’s broader strategy to expand convenience beyond the pump, leveraging its digital infrastructure and loyalty platform to create a unified guest journey.
