YPF has rolled out its self‑service fueling system to 100 service stations across Argentina, following the launch of a new site in Famaillá, Tucumán. The milestone marks a significant step in the company’s network transformation strategy, introducing standardized processes and trained staff to ensure consistent operations across locations.

The 100 stations are part of a federal deployment that spans nearly every province, except Buenos Aires, La Pampa and Jujuy, where regulatory frameworks currently prevent implementation. The expansion follows the national government’s decision to authorize self‑service fueling at the beginning of 2025, paving the way for broader industry adoption.

According to the company, customer response to the self‑service model has been very positive, with high satisfaction and rapid transaction times reported.

“Reaching 100 self‑service stations is a concrete milestone within our 4x4 Plan. It marks the direction for the YPF we want: a modern, competitive company focused on the customer experience,” said Horacio Marín, president and CEO of YPF. He added that the system is “agile and safe” and designed to operate alongside traditional forecourt service.

YPF reports that 86% of users would choose self‑service again, 74% rated the experience with the highest score, and 73% completed fueling in under five minutes, highlighting simplicity, speed and control through the YPF App.

Self‑service coexists with traditional forecourt assistance, giving customers the option to choose their preferred experience. As the format becomes more established, other fuel retailers across the country have also begun implementing self‑service systems, contributing to a broader modernization of the sector.
