Żabka opens landmark 13,000th store in Warsaw
The Polish convenience retailer marked the milestone with a two-level flagship location featuring expanded foodservice, digital technologies and dedicated spaces for dining, relaxation and entertainment.
Żabka has opened its 13,000th store, reaching a new milestone in the growth of its convenience retail network. The new location is situated within Warsaw's iconic Wars Sawa Junior Department Store complex and showcases the company's latest approach to convenience, foodservice and customer experience.
Located on Marszałkowska Street in central Warsaw, the two-level store spans more than 170m² and has been designed as a multifunctional destination combining retail, dining, services and digital innovation. The format reflects Żabka's strategy of focusing not only on network expansion but also on creating new consumer experiences tailored to urban lifestyles.
The ground floor features a traditional convenience retail offering alongside an expanded foodservice area serving hot snacks such as wraps, pizza, casseroles and nuggets. Customers can also use self-service stations for heating meals and preparing beverages, including coffee and matcha. Additional services include self-service printing and power bank rentals.
To commemorate the opening, Żabka introduced a new foodservice product, the Chrupczak burger, available with a range of customizable sauce options.
“13,000 stores represent not only scale but also proof of the effectiveness of our business model,” said Adam Manikowski, CEO of Żabka Polska. “We are consistently developing Żabka as a modern ecosystem that combines retail, foodservice, services and technology.”
A key feature of the store is its use of advanced digital technology, including what the company describes as Europe's first transparent outdoor LED display, designed to create three-dimensional visual presentations while allowing natural light into the space.
The upper floor is dedicated to customer comfort and leisure, featuring a café area with city-center views, seating for socializing, desserts and pastries, as well as a gaming zone with virtual entertainment experiences and phone charging facilities.
The milestone location will be operated by long-time franchisee Piotr Jaworski, who emphasized the site's strong potential due to its central location and enhanced foodservice offering.
