ADNOC, Terra Tech launch Abu Dhabi’s first battery-swapping station

ADNOC Distribution, in partnership with Terra Tech, has opened Abu Dhabi’s first battery-swapping station for electric motorbikes, marking a milestone in the capital’s transition toward cleaner and more efficient mobility.
Located at one of ADNOC’s flagship service stations, the new facility enables delivery riders to swap depleted batteries for fully charged ones within seconds, reducing downtime and emissions compared with conventional fuel-powered transport. The site serves the growing community of electric two-wheel delivery operators across Abu Dhabi, helping businesses adopt low-carbon solutions without compromising efficiency.
Through ADNOC’s extensive service-station network, Terra Tech gains access to accessible locations that can scale battery-swapping technology across the country.
This collaboration highlights how established energy providers are evolving their networks to meet the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 vision and Abu Dhabi Mobility’s goal for 50% of vehicles to be electric by 2040.
