Alpitronic, Milence partner on truck charging rollout across Europe
The companies have signed an agreement to support the deployment of Megawatt Charging System infrastructure across European freight corridors and advance charging technology integration.
Alpitronic and Milence have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a long-term collaboration focused on expanding charging infrastructure for electric heavy-duty transport in Europe.
The agreement centers on the deployment of Megawatt Charging System (MCS) technology along key freight corridors, supporting the growing adoption of battery-electric trucks. In addition to infrastructure rollout, the companies said they will work together on technological innovation and digital integration aimed at improving charging availability and operational performance.
As part of the partnership, Alpitronic's HYC1000 charging platform will support both depot and en-route charging needs. The company's Depot Dispenser is designed for high-power charging at fleet facilities, while its MCS Dispenser is intended for long-haul transport routes, enabling trucks to recharge during mandatory driver rest periods and other scheduled stops.
The collaboration reflects ongoing efforts across the logistics sector to develop charging networks tailored to commercial fleet operations, where reliability, flexibility and uptime remain key considerations.
Milence, which is building a public charging network for electric trucks across Europe, and Alpitronic said the initiative is intended to help accelerate the transition toward zero-emission freight transport by improving access to high-power charging infrastructure for fleet operators.
