Ampol supports creation of EV centre of excellence in Sydney
New collaboration with HelpMeBuyAnEV aims to improve EV education and provide access to charging solutions.
Ampol and HelpMeBuyAnEV.com.au have agreed to work together to deliver information, consultancy support and charging options for Australian consumers and businesses considering electric vehicles. As part of the initiative, the two organisations will join the Australian Racing Drivers’ Club (ARDC) to develop an EV Centre of Excellence at the Australian Motorsport Innovation Precinct in Sydney Motorsport Park.
The centre will serve as a dedicated space for car manufacturers, distributors, businesses and the public to learn about EVs, participate in launch events and test drive new models. Ampol’s role will include showcasing its AmpCharge public, home and fleet charging capabilities within the facility.
Customers engaging with HMBAEV may also be able to access selected AmpCharge offers, including public charging and home or workplace charger solutions.
Ampol’s Head of Energy Business Solutions, Rebecca Wilson, said the partnership demonstrates how industry cooperation can support Australia’s transition to electric transport. “The ongoing rollout of our public EV charging network, combined with home and workplace solutions, ensures customers can charge with confidence where they want to,” she said.
Ampol continues to expand its AmpCharge network nationally as part of its broader energy transition strategy.
