Aral Pulse opens Germany’s largest ultra-fast charging park
The e-mobility hub has 14 charging stations with an output of up to 400 kilowatts.
Aral Pulse has marked a significant milestone in its e-mobility journey by opening its first ultra-fast charging park in Germany. The new facility, located in Mönchengladbach's Gewerbepark Nordpark near the A61, was officially inaugurated in the presence of North Rhine-Westphalia's Environment and Transport Minister Oliver Krischer and Mönchengladbach Mayor Felix Heinrichs.
“This state-of-the-art charging park is a shining example of how Aral is redefining mobility. It’s a step forward in making sustainable travel convenient for everyone,” said Oliver Krischer at the opening ceremony.
The charging park is Aral Pulse's largest of its kind in Germany, featuring 14 ultra-fast chargers with capacities of up to 400 kW. Each charger is equipped with two charging points, offering a total of 28 bays for electric vehicles. Plans for additional charging parks of this scale are already underway, underlining Aral’s commitment to expanding the EV infrastructure.
More than just a charging hub, the site offers a premium convenience experience. On the premises, users can access a REWE To Go Smart Store, developed in collaboration with Lekkerland SE. This unmanned shop is open 24/7, catering to EV users, local residents, and other visitors.
“With features like round-the-clock shopping, indoor and outdoor seating, modern restroom facilities, and free Wi-Fi, we aim to create a space where charging is more than just a utility—it’s an experience,” said a spokesperson for Aral Pulse.
Leading the charge
Aral has emerged as a major player in Germany’s EV market, now operating over 3,000 charging points at more than 400 locations. This achievement cements its position as one of the largest providers of ultra-fast charging solutions in the country.
In a recent evaluation by Connect, Aral was crowned Germany's best provider of ultra-fast charging services. Furthermore, since August, Aral has been an official e-Charge partner of the ADAC, Germany's largest automobile association.
“This charging park is a glimpse into the future of energy and mobility. It demonstrates how sustainability and convenience can go hand in hand,” said Felix Heinrichs, Mönchengladbach’s mayor.
With around 2,400 service stations, Aral has the largest mobility network in Germany.
