bp pulse adds Avios rewards to UK EV charging network
Partnership with IAG Loyalty enables drivers to earn points on charging sessions across 3,000 rapid and ultra-fast chargers.
bp pulse has partnered with IAG Loyalty to introduce Avios rewards for electric vehicle (EV) charging across its UK network, becoming the first charging operator in the country to offer the scheme. The initiative allows drivers to collect points while using more than 3,000 rapid and ultra-fast charging points nationwide.
The collaboration links EV charging with the Avios rewards ecosystem, commonly used by members of The British Airways Club. Customers can earn up to 4 Avios per £1 spent when using the bp pulse app or subscription, and 2 Avios per £1 when paying via contactless on eligible transactions.
“As EV adoption continues to grow, this partnership adds further value to the charging experience – giving customers a simple way to collect Avios as part of their everyday journeys,” said Valerio Ferro, General Manager of bp pulse UK.
The integration is designed to align with changing mobility habits, as adoption of EVs continues to increase across the UK. To access the scheme, users must register their payment details through the Avios platform, with higher earning rates available for those using the chagrin operator’s app. The system enables automatic point accumulation without additional steps once accounts are linked.
